Brand Focus: Penfield
Founded in Hudson, Massachusetts in 1975, Penfield began as an outerwear-focused brand inspired by the harsh conditions and terrain of their surroundings. The durability and functionality of their products garnered a well-earned reputation for the brand, and their collection quickly expanded to cover all seasons equally well regardless of the weather. By 1979, Penfield products were being exported outside of the US and enjoying worldwide popularity, in no small part thanks to the dependability of each release.
By the turn of the new millennium, Penfield began to collaborate with a number of well-known streetwear labels such as Stussy and in turn secured their position amongst some of the fastest growing names of the time. While their popularity continued to grow, the brand's DNA and heritage remained intact with a large number of classic items having only a minimal number of design changes since their launch.
Now celebrating their 50th Anniversary, Penfield have launched an archival collection celebrating some of their most iconic and pioneering silhouettes from previous collections, with a huge amount of attention dedicated to the return of one style of jacket in particular: Pac Jac. Worn by Oasis' Noel Gallagher through the band's two performances at Maine Road in 1996, both the Navy and True Red colourways are due to return on the 27th March 2025. Alongside the original bold colourways, the jacket retains the versatility and functionality that saw it gain popularity after its initial release.
When looking to add a hint of nostalgia to your wardrobe there really is no better place to start than Penfield.
