Slade - Merry Christmas Everyone
Noddy Holder and friends released this single back in 1973 and it's since become one of those classics that's played every year, 'so here it is merry Christmasssss!'
Eartha Kitt - Santa Baby
This is a more seductive kind of Xmas song and has been covered so many times by the likes of Kylie, LeAnn Rimes and Sugababes to name a few but this is the original - and the best.
Chris Rea - Driving Home for Christmas
A more chilled out Christmas song but still happy and upbeat, it's actually been used in three of Iceland's Christmas adverts which is where you may have heard it.
Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas
One of her most famous hits from back in 1994 and is played time again every year, even appearing in Love Actually. Everyone seems to know all the words to this so get singing along!
The Pogues - Fairytale of New York
A classic and always comes in at number 1 on Christmas song countdowns. They may not be the stereotypical looking band but they sure know how to pen a good song!
The Darkness - Christmas Time (Don't Let the Bells End)
The Darkness weren't just a one hit wonder, remember their Christmas song?- Not bad either.
Band Aid - Do They Know it's Christmas?
The old version, not the new, because let's face it, it's this one we like listening to every year!
Bing Crosby - It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
Bing Crosby is probably most famous in terms of Christmas songs with White Christmas. But we don't want a sad playlist do we? Nope! So here is a chirpy alternative...
Cliff Richard - Mistletoe & Wine
Love him or hate him, you've got to give it to him, he did a good Christmas song! Why is it that you want to sway when listening to this song?!
John Lennon & Yoko Ono - Happy Christmas (War is Over)
Originally a protest song about the Vietnam War, the lyrics were formed into a Christmas song to get the message across commercially. The former Beatle achieved top success with this but surprisingly it never got to number 1.
Andy Williams - Most Wonderful Time of the Year
A nice jolly addition that has remained a classic. We don't seem to get many of those anymore...
Shakin' Stevens - Merry Christmas Everyone
Love his dancing skills!
Wizzard - I Wish it Could be Christmas Every Day
Check out this video - are they even playing? Do they kids even know the beat of the song?
Wham - Last Christmas
Cascada's version didn't quite cut it the other year did it? No, you can't cover George and get away with it...
