Vivienne Westwood is a well known British designer known for her unusual and eccentric style. Propelling herself into the limelight after creating collections for Malcolm McLaren's boutique 'Sex' (now known as World's End) on King's Road, Vivienne Westwood established herself as a cult designer after her many creations were seen on the likes of the Sex Pistols due to McLaren becoming their manager. Together, their ability to synthesise music with fashion worked and so 'Punk' was born. Combining clothing that has the 'shock' factor with unusual cuts, Westwood has since become one of the world's top designers engaging working class elements into various styles. The past decade has seen Vivienne Westwood's pieces become a trend once again, in particular those emblazoned with the iconic 'orb' symbol which is significant as the symbol represents the brand.

Vivienne Westwood's orb is symbolic among fashionistas worldwide and being placed on the front of the shoe means they're instantly recognisable as a Vivienne Westwood creation. The orb features a globe and cross which symbolises monarchy power and justice which was also used at the coronation of the Queen. This is Vivienne Westwood's own personal declaration that she is the 'Queen of Fashion'. The Divine 2 shoe is also available in black.
A grey leopard print design with a silver buckle feature, the Ultragirl Buckle shoe has been used many times in the Outfit of the Week blogs as the shoe of choice. A Smoky Winter shows the shoe off to it's full potential when presented with other grey/silver garments.
The Lady Dragon heels are a range that are updated each season with an added fun factor in the form of a front plastic design such as a bow, pair of lips, heart, etc. With the shoe being made from a manufactured, soft plastic, the bonus is that they're less likely to hurt. With an adjustable strap for added comfort and fit, this season's feature is a pair of lips - expect nothing less from the quirky world of Vivienne Westwood.
Not forgetting this season's shoe of choice: the boot, Vivienne adds her touch with the front 3D bow that was seen on last season's Virtue Bow shoe as well as the orb once again making an appearance. As the days grow colder and the weather takes it's toll, a trusty pair of boots are a staple piece in every girl's wardrobe that will more than likely be worn for many years to come therefore investing in a designer pair isn't such a bad idea...
As well as Vivienne Westwood's like for punky, edgy designs, she also likes a good print - a good quirky print that is and by this we mean a tartan or animal printed design. The one animal print that never seems to go out of trend is the leopard print. Constructed into many forms and colours, leopard print can be added to many an outfit creating something of an acceptable clash. Vivienne Westwood has used leopard print twice for this season's collection of Melissa shoes and this version is presented in a heel form.
