Outfit Of The Week Dark Craft
16th October 2013 | Posted in Womens & Outfit of the week by H. Simpson
As Halloween is nearing, its only right that this week's outfit of the week is Halloween themed with regards to colour and style. The obvious brand of choice for this outfit would be Religion due to it's vintage style gothic clothing. With the added help of Ted Baker, Dr Marten and Modalu London, a simple yet stylish look has been completed using Halloween themed colours black and red...
The Dress
This dress is totally ideal to wear on Halloween. The dress is designed so that its tight and slouchy at the same time. Tight around the areas that are most flattering such as the bottom half and hung loose around the top of the shoulders to create a (once again) draped effect. Also loving the roll neck design, it adds something extra to the dress, just be sure to add lots of bangles to the wrist where the dress is sleeveless or a nice watch like this Lacoste Goa Black Watch.
The Accessory
An added accessory has the ability to transform an outfit and make it appear totally different. Without this belt, the dress is just a plain black dress, one block of colour. However the belt around the waist breaks the outfit up and adds another girly feature.
The Shoes
These Dr Martens may not be everyone's cup of tea but they transform the outfit from 'feminine' into 'fierce'. Dr Martens are going to be big this Winter so make sure these are your Winter boots of choice this year. To balance the outfit out right, team them with something girly to create an 'edge' as done with this outfit. To make the boots look less clunky, you could add tights such as these ichi ones which will add a softer touch.
The Bag
For the bag, I've chosen a blood red colour (well it is for Halloween!) Being red also adds a pop of colour to the otherwise black outfit. Match this with a slick of red lipstick and your good to go!
The finished look; each garment is a completely different style but put together, create a stylish mix of feminine and masculine, pretty and edgy. For more Halloween inspired clothing check out the Trick or Treat blog.
