Outfit Of The Week Biker Girl

Following on from the Tough Love: Biker Looks blog, I have gone on to create a biker girl themed outfit this week. Using the most simple statement pieces from the likes of Religion, Levi and J Shoes, the biker girl look has the quality of appearing like the outfits just been thrown together in a hurry whilst still looking fabulous...
The Top
This Levi top has a real grunge feel to it. The top isn't anything out of the ordinary, yet a simple, classic top with a printed image is perfect for this look. Small details of the t-shirt that make it perfect are the studs on the shoulders, the faded dye effect to create a worn look and the fact that its a boxy fit which gives the effect of a just thrown on loose fit.
The Trousers
These leggings are a great example to use for this look. Tight fitted and flattering, the stitching detail on the knee creates a more masculine feel on an otherwise feminine shaped legging. The leggings even have a visible zip fastener on the front! How fitting for this style! These have the feel of a pair of trousers but are elasticated and super skinny which is why they're called a legging.
The Jacket
If you imagine what Sandy wore in the last scene of Grease, yes that leather jacket, then look no further than this one! Complete with zips, studs and a belt, the jacket which is made from real leather is soft yet edgy and of the best quality. Religion are a great brand for dark themed garments such as this which is why, out of all the leather look jackets, this is the one that stood out (as well as the authentic feel and 100% leather material).
The Boots
These J Shoes boots are a great choice for this outfit as they're a biker style but also very stylish and feminine. The lack of heel makes them more casual but the detailing such as the thick laces, knee high length and hook fastener detail create a more smarter, dressed up look (also note the contrasting checked lining!) Although not my usual style, I really like these boots and I'd wear them over skinny jeans. I bet they're comfy too!
