Pretty Green The Best Bits Of The A W 13 Collection
Remember Oasis? That band in the 90's that changed absolutely everything for British culture- the one that you either love or hate (most of us love them by the way), and the one that ultimately split up, leaving a rift between two brothers who were arguably two of the greatest musicians of the era.
Yes, of course you remember Oasis; and of course, you remember the Gallagher brothers.
Liam- the extrovert, sunglasses and parka wearing front man, became the savior of British music, in an age where rock and roll was hanging on to the charts by it's last finger. Meanwhile, his brother Noel was delivering the countries most famous band pure gold, after penning songs like Don't Look Back in Anger andThe Masterplan.
Yep. The Gallagher brothers were, and still are, one of our little island nations most treasured children. However, following the quite frankly horrific split of the great Oasis, after a spat between the two brothers which has since developed into a modern day feud which rivals that of North Korea and the rest of the world, the two key pieces of Oasis went their separate ways.
Noel started his own band-Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds (you should check them out, they're very good), and Liam... well, Liam did what he did best. He started a rock and roll group, Beady Eye, and ran with his obsession for cool clothing, and a cooler attitude, as he founded his own label, Pretty Green.
Time to focus on the latter part of Liam Gallagher's post Oasis story-Pretty Green. Undoubtedly one of the greatest labels to come out of England in the past 5 years, Pretty Green, has grown a huge, fiercely loyal fan base, as it strives to revolve in the gap that exists between the worlds of music and fashion.
Pretty Green does just that, as it draws its inspiration from everything music related- from the mods at Brighton in the 60's as they fought the rockers, to The Who's Quadrophenia album of the 70's, Pretty Green makes the link between music and clothing seamless. Bringing about all the feelings that being adored brings, Pretty Green clothing is about being the centre of attention; the envy of all and the face of a generation. Like its founder, Liam Gallagher, Pretty Green is loud, and proud.
