Outfit Of The Week Girl In Grey
26th September 2013 | Posted in Womens & Outfit of the week by H. Simpson
- Seeing as we've been blogging about animal print this week, its only right that this week's outfit of the week is built up of everyone's favourite leopard print! I've created a nice causal look here that is also smart. The look is meant to be as though you haven't tried to hard and just thrown things together.
The Top
- The top is by Maison Scotch which are one of our best selling brands. This is from the new Autumn/Winter range which is why its a more toned down colour than the colours we were seeing back in the summer! This is the best thing about fashion, it changes with the seasons, (which can obviously be a bit irritating when you've got to change styles all the time, but learn to see this as a positive thing!) so the whole mood, trends, colour range, patterns and styles move on from what we've previously been wearing. What I mean by mood is that because its getting colder and the nights are getting darker quicker, our moods start to change. We start to crave that warm fire, cosy chunky knit jumpers, not all flashing neon and loud colours which was Summer's trend. This is why I've created 'Grey Girl' spruced up by a dash of leopard print.
The Jeans
- The jeans I've chosen are by Nudie Jeans. A lot are actually unisex and this pair are a skinny fit, I suggest always finding a good pair of skinnys to go with a loose fitted top. Nudie are a great choice for this if you're looking for a new decent jean brand, they stay skinny and keep pinging back to their former glory.
The Shoes
- What better shoes to add to this outfit that these Viviennes? Who doesn't love Vivienne Westwood and her little orb (yes they have this on the shoes!) Teaming up with Brazilian brand Melissa shoes, Vivienne Westwood Anglomania offers the quirkiness and unique style with Melissa shoe's eco-minded materials. (Plus they smell gorge!)
The Bag
- To accessorise the look, what else do we need? A good ol' bag! Designer bag that is! And what better bag to add at the moment than Pippa Middleton's favourite Modalu London bag. So favourite that Modalu London changed the name of it to the Pippa bag! Investing in a designer handbag isn't a silly idea; buy a timeless classic that you can use again and again. Remember, they'll also last a lot longer than the usual High Street bag with the added bonus of it being some great arm candy!
Soft Cashemere Mix Cowl Neck in Grey Melange by Maison Scotch
Tight Long John Jeans in Black and White by Nudie
Ultragirl Buckle Shoe in Smoke Leopard by Vivienne Westwood Anglomania X Melissa
So here's the finished look, what do you think? I think a nice silver necklace would look great over the top, something a little like this or a silver watch like this silver and black Storm version that would look perfect with the outfit.
