Special Occasions

Summer is full of occasions as its generally nice weather so perfect for such occasions as a wedding or christening. I'd generally wear light Summer colours to occasions like these and something classy; good fit and good style. Have a look at these hand picked items suitable for formal wear.
This is a bodycon dress that has a large zip fastening up the front of the dress in a rose gold colour. The sides of the waist have a slight Peplum which has the effect of it looking like its a corset over a skirt. The high neck means that if you are adding any jewellery, add it to the wrist.
This is available in a dress and top. The Peplum style is on trend and is very flattering if you've got a slight bloated tummy as the frill can hide this. I would probably wear black shoes and bag with this dress to match the black seem detailing and wear hair down to add to the pretty, girly feel.
Its the embellished flower detailing on this top that distinguishes it from the rest. The rest of the top is plain so that the shoulder detail stands out. Pair this with some smart trousers and a pair of heels.
This blazer is very Chanel. The tweed fabric of the jacket makes it very dressy. Maison Scotch always add attention to detail and this jacket has small studded detail around the neck, turn ups on the sleeves, raw frayed edges and a patterned lining. Throwing this on over an outfit would instantly smarten it up.
This blazer would be perfect to an occasion like these. The colour is very Summery and light and cream can be put with a wide array of colours to match. The long lapel makes it more dressy and smart. Wear this with a dress or with smart trousers and heels.
Who knew that UGG also make heels? This pair have ribbon as a fastener which tie around the ankles into a bow or knot. Team with an outfit in white, black or navy to match these shoes and definitely wear these wedges with a dress to show off the ribbon detailing. Wedges are actually more comfy than regular heels.
These shoes are a favourite among Vivienne Westwood fans. They are somewhat of a collectors item. The heel isn't too high and the shoe is actually scented. People that know their fashion would instantly recognise that these are a Vivienne Westwood shoe. These are a fun take on a formal wear shoe; bright, playful yet designer.
Another low heel, these Ted Baker court shoes are a smart simple heel that would look great with a dress. The shoes are very 'Kate Middleton', no fancy stuff and a nice sized heel without looking too 'tarty' at a formal occasion.
