Just Arrived New French Connection

French Connection's new season is now in and with them they bring a selection of dresses and tops worth getting excited about full of dark and moody hues and tones.
These are my top favourites so far from the new collection...
This is my favourite from the collection. The picture doesn't quite do it justice s to what it looks like in real life. The dress is a flattering bodycon shape and feels a good quality (not cotton thin to lose shape after being worn a few times). The colours are a perfect contrast compared to the S/S season. I predict the weather is slowly going to go downhill after August and the bright, vibrant colours may not seem such a good idea when its raining or snowing so this deep purple tone is perfect. I particularly like the fact that the zip is hidden at the back as I'm now bored of dresses that have visible ones for a bit of decoration!
I didn't used to think that leather look jackets would suit someone with blonde hair but then I got one myself and I love it. This French Connection one is great because its a fitted design so it'll be flattering to wear and not big and baggy. The thing about the leather look jacket is that they're meant to look neat and a bit clingy to enable them to look as feminine as possible as far as a leather jacket can go. Added zips and pocket detailing is a bonus because that's what sets them apart from the rest. This one has chosen to have 7 prominent silver zips and another added detail to make the jacket more unique is that its collarless.
Every woman has an LBD (Little Black Dress); I have a few in my wardrobe, but each one is slightly different. One might be short and bodycon and another could be floaty and pretty. This one is a classy version of the LBD; its heavier than it looks and its the detailing that makes the dress stand out from others. Note the lace top half and the twisted front. This black dress should definitely be used for a special occasion where you want to dress to impress.
This horse print shirt would look great with shiny wet look leggings, a pair of heels and a big clutch. Though the shirt is long sleeved, the fabric is a little bit see through and very light so you wouldn't get too hot. Animals in print on clothing and accessories continue to prove popular. Ted Baker have chosen a horse printed theme on their tops as well as a dog print inside their popular purses!
This ones very 'dressy uppy' and I could see this as being a timeless classic hung in the wardrobe for the special occasion times. As its part of the A/W collection, I'm thinking this would be great for an office Christmas party. I love the colour gold and tend to incorporate it into my everyday wear. Gold works so well with black, I'd definitely wear gold accessories with this outfit.
