With festival well and truly kicked off thanks to Radio 1's big weekend, it's time to start looking at what you need to be packing along with your tent and sleeping bag if you're one of the lucky ones with a ticket to one of the Summers biggest and best highlights.
This blog is all about t-shirts, and how to get the best out of the most versatile pieces of clothing going. You'll get loads of wear out of your tee's this Summer, so don't be afraid to eat into that beer budget and show your wardrobe a little festival fuelled love…
T-shirts- plain and simple
Let's face it, not everyone wants to stand out from the crowd, but a simple t-shirt can go a long old way if you're not up for causing a stir. These cherry picked gems below will look great when worn with some simple colours. If the weathers warm (lucky you) try linking them with simple well tailored chino shorts. The sun has to go away at some point, though, so as soon as night falls, chuck on a long sleeved chambray shirt and wear it open for some extra warmth.T-Shirts- Baggy is beautiful
You might have noticed a bit of a baggy t-shirt trend worming its way into main stream fashion. If you're feeling it, great. Baggy tee's are one of the comfiest things to wear on a hot day, and they look great whether you're rocking shorts or jeans. The t-shirts underneath are slightly oversized, so you'll get a longer cut in the body if you opt for your normal size. If you wanted something really baggy, size up and get some extra chest width and sleeve length too. We reckon you should always roll your sleeves up with a baggy tee, then link it with a pair of retro kicks like some Adidas Adiracers. The real beauty of a baggy tee is what you can wear with it- chuck on a snapback flat peak cap and you've got the perfect cover up for your unwashed barnet. Winner.T-Shirts-Pretty in print
A look for those who want to really stand out from the masses, a decent print will do wonders for your image. Try it with a pair of coloured chino shorts for a clean, thought out look. Roll the sleeves and choose from a few some outrageous patterns- be brave and carry it off, it'll be sure to start a few conversations. Struggling with the temperatures? Printed t-shirts look great worn underneath an open zip through hoody. Chuck one on and you'll still be able to show off your tee.T-Shirts- Keep it in your pocket
Let a patterned pocket spruce up your t-shirts and give an easy style a lease of life. These work best with a pair of contrasting chino shorts, white looks great with navy, and navy looks great with beige. Plus, as an added bonus, it's a damn handy place to put your Ray Ban sunglasses when the sun goes behind the clouds (best hope they're not rain clouds though).Ryan J Gray
